Things to do in Thomasville

Thomasville is a south Georgia town just north of the Florida line that became a winter resort for wealthy Northerners in the late 1800s. Many of those visitors bought land for quail hunting, and the Red Hills region between Thomasville and Tallahassee is still home to dozens of historic plantations managed for bobwhite quail, longleaf pine and conservation. Today the town is known for its Victorian homes, its rose festival and a brick-paved downtown of shops and restaurants, and it is the headquarters of Flowers Foods, the baker behind Nature’s Own.
