How can we help?
Everything about flying with Bluebird, from your first search to the day you fly. Looking for a quick answer? See all frequently asked questions.
Getting started
What Bluebird is and how booking a private flight works.
What is Bluebird?
Bluebird is private jet charter from the operator: a FAR Part 135 air carrier flying charter since 1985 and the largest operator of Learjet 60s in the world. Fly our Learjet 60s with instant online pricing, or let us source the right aircraft for any trip from vetted Part 135 operators.
How booking a flight works
Search two airports, a date and your party size, pick an aircraft from the live prices, add your passengers and pay online. Some trips confirm instantly; others are confirmed by our team before you're charged.
Instant booking vs. request to book
Trips 24 hours to 90 days out can be booked instantly and are confirmed at checkout. Other trips are requests: your card is saved, and you're charged only when our team confirms.
Pricing and saving money
What's in the price, and how to fly for less.
How our pricing works
You pay one all-in price for the whole airplane. It covers the flight time, any repositioning to and from your airports, applicable fees and federal taxes, all shown line by line before you pay.
Ways to save on your flight
Fly between home bases within a service area, be flexible by a few hours or a day, use a nearby airport, and fill the seats: the price is for the whole airplane.
Aircraft and safety
Our Learjet 60s, the aircraft we source from other operators, safety, our pilots and who operates your flight.
Our fleet: Learjet 60s, and the right aircraft for any trip
Bluebird's own fleet is the Learjet 60, a midsize business jet we operate under our own Part 135 certificate. For trips that need a different size, we source light, midsize, super-midsize, large and ultra-long-range jets, and turboprops from vetted Part 135 operators.
Safety: Part 135 standards on every flight
Every Bluebird flight is an FAA Part 135 charter flight, held to commercial standards for pilots, maintenance and operations. Our Learjet 60s fly with two pilots; brokered trips fly with vetted Part 135 operators.
Our pilots and training
Every flight on Bluebird's Learjet 60s has two pilots, a captain and a first officer. Captains meet the FAA Part 135 minimum of 1,200 flight hours, and every pilot completes Part 135 indoctrination training, recurrent training and check rides.
Who operates my flight? (FAA Part 135)
Flights on Bluebird's Learjet 60s are operated under Jetvia's own FAA Part 135 certificate. Brokered flights are operated under the Part 135 certificate of the operator named on your quote, which holds operational control.
