Things to do in Paso Robles

Paso Robles sits roughly halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco in northern San Luis Obispo County, and over the past few decades it has grown into one of California’s most important wine regions, with more than 200 wineries spread across rolling oak-studded hills. Hot days and cool nights favor Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and the Rhône varieties that wineries such as Tablas Creek helped bring to the area. Ranching, almonds, olive oil and hospitality round out the local economy, and the historic downtown square has filled with restaurants and tasting rooms.
