Things to do in Blue Ridge

Blue Ridge is a small mountain town in Fannin County, near the point where Georgia meets Tennessee and North Carolina. Once a railroad and copper-mining stop, it has become the north Georgia mountains’ busiest getaway, with a walkable downtown of restaurants, galleries and outfitters, and thousands of rental cabins and second homes tucked into the surrounding ridges.     Vintage trains run from the downtown depot along the Toccoa River to McCaysville, where passengers can stand with one foot in Georgia and one in Tennessee before the return trip.
