Talkeetna is a small, historic town where the Susitna, Chulitna and Talkeetna rivers meet, about 115 miles north of Anchorage. It is the traditional jumping-off point for climbers attempting Denali, North America’s highest peak, and the National Park Service’s Talkeetna Ranger Station handles their permits and briefings.
