Brainerd is the hub of the Brainerd Lakes area, one of Minnesota’s classic summer destinations, with hundreds of lakes, family resorts and lake homes spread through the pine forests of central Minnesota. The drive from the Twin Cities takes two and a half to three hours, and on summer Fridays Highway 371 can back up for miles.
