Mansfield is a north-central Ohio city with a manufacturing history in steel, appliances and machinery, and today its economy rests on healthcare, advanced manufacturing, education and logistics. The city is best known to visitors for the Ohio State Reformatory, the castle-like former prison where The Shawshank Redemption was filmed, and for the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in nearby Lexington, which hosts IndyCar, IMSA sports car and motorcycle racing.
